The Soniqs take third place in the nation following the PUBG Continental Series 1 Grand Finals. The team entered the Grand Finals red hot, having finished the group stage in first place. During the regular season, the Soniqs picked up 334 points, finishing ahead of second-place Shoot To Kill which had 314 total points.
During the Grand Finals, the Soniqs struggled to find placement points and only picked up 2 chicken dinners in 20 rounds. Despite this, the Soniqs relied heavily on kill points which kept them in the running for first place throughout the entire tournament until the final week.
By the final week, it became a battle for third place between the Soniqs, Oath Gaming and Wildcard Gaming. Boosted by a chicken dinner and then a second-place finish, the Soniqs were able to pull ahead and clinch a top-three finish in the tournament. Up next, the Soniqs PUBG program has a break before beginning their next season.
With a strong finish to Series 1 the Soniqs hope to mirror their success for PUBG Continental Series 2.
